who we are

We are a flow assurance and pipeline hydraulics consulting company headquartered in Houston, TX. We are dedicated to the delivery of thermo-hydraulic projects within the O&G industry for both onshore and offshore projects.

what we do

 We are avid users of commercially available transient and steady state simulation tools (i.e. OLGA® and SPS®) for the design and operation of onshore and offshore systems. 


We provide high quality, timely and cost effective engineering solutions for early screening and concept development, pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Engineering for both onshore and offshore developments. We participate in peer reviews and perform independent verification of pipeline hydraulics and flow assurance work performed by 3rd party engineering firms. When needed, we can act as owners engineer on behalf of our clients.


All our engineers and contractors  are Professional Engineers registered in Texas.

  Our engineers are avid users of commercially available transient and steady state simulation tools (i.e. OLGA® and SPS®) for the design and operation of onshore and offshore systems.

Onshore

 Steady state and transient simulation for onshore developments with OLGA® or SPS®, focusing on wells, pipelines and onshore gathering systems: 

  

  • Hydraulics and Flow Assurance engineering for the design of single and multiphase pipeline systems, scope of project to include pipeline sizing, pump sizing, pump station identification and location, surge analysis and surge tank sizing.


  • Well commingling, new well addition and production debottlenecking.


  • Surge Analysis simulations and studies.


  • Pipeline capacity studies and optimization (i.e. DRA).


  • Start-up and shutdown studies.


  • Operating cost optimization (i.e. pump update/change vs. DRA).


  • Leaks and Incident investigation.


  • Equation of State and PVT modeling.

Offshore

Steady state and transient analysis of wells, jumpers, flowlines and risers (initial start-up and shut down simulations, cooldown analysis, pressure and temperature predictions, shut-in pressure estimations, CO2 corrosion rate calculations with Norsok) throughout the life of the field.


  

  • Hydraulics and Flow Assurance engineering for steady state simulation of wells, flowlines and riser to determine expected arrival conditions, turn down rates to avoid wax and hydrates, wells deliverability, potential for well commingling, identification of production bottlenecks, etc.


  • Transient simulation to analyze slugging tendency, cooldown time (wells, jumpers flowlines and risers), insulation requirements to meet given cooldown time, start-up and shut down of wells and its impact on the subsea system (cooldown and restart), gas lift for reserves acceleration and/or for slugging mitigation, dead oil displacement of flowlines and riser, hot dead oiling for field re-start, pigging, corrosion, erosion, etc.


  • Umbilical sizing and chemical deliverability based on expected flowing/shut in conditions and chemical characteristics (density and viscosity).


  • Drafting of Flow Assurance strategies and performing the technical work required to do so. 


  • Acting as a Flow Assurance lead for projects and coordinating/revising the technical work performed by our consultants or 3rd party engineering firms.


  • Operating envelope definition to avoid wax, hydrates, sand deposition, gel, slugging, asphaltene and erosion so that production can be guaranteed through the life of the field.


  • Equation of State and PVT modeling.
